The Owner’s Suite is the latter — Kristiania at its most expansive, private and collected. Thonet and Gio Ponti, Jugendstil and antiques, works by Max Cole, Tàpies, Russell Maltz, Heinz Mack and Arnulf Rainer: not a suite that has been decorated, but one assembled over a lifetime of looking.

Across 190 square metres — with three bedrooms, a library, a duplex layout and some of the most beautiful windows in the House — it offers not simply a room for the night, but a way of living for a few days. Somewhere to gather, withdraw, read, dine and watch Lech go by, as though the House had quietly handed you its keys
