Frequently Asked Questions
A few helpful answers before your stay
A few useful answers before your stay — from booking and arrival to rooms, dining and the way Kristiania works. Should you need anything more specific, our team will always be pleased to assist.
Before You Book
Why book directly with Kristiania Lech?
Booking directly gives you the clearest view of our rooms, rates and availability — and the possibility to speak with us personally should you wish to shape your stay a little more closely.
What is the difference between flexible and prepaid rates?
Flexible rates allow more freedom should plans change. Prepaid and advance purchase rates come with firmer terms and usually require full payment at the time of booking.
When is a deposit required?
A reservation is confirmed once the required deposit has been received. In most cases, flexible rates require a 50% deposit, while prepaid and selected special rates require full payment at the time of booking.
Are there different terms for peak dates?
Yes. Certain periods are subject to earlier payment and longer cancellation terms. These are always communicated clearly at the time of booking.
Is the local tourist tax included?
No. The local tourist tax is charged separately per person per night in accordance with local regulations.
Can I speak to someone before booking?
Of course. We are always happy to advise on room categories, rates and the overall shape of your stay.

Skiing, Seasons & Tailored Stays
Can you help arrange details before arrival?
Absolutely. We are happy to assist with transfers, timing, room choice and the practical details that make a stay feel more seamless.
When is the best time to visit Lech in winter?
That depends on the kind of atmosphere you prefer — festive and lively, or quieter and more relaxed later in the season. We call it the secret season.
Is Kristiania only a winter hotel?
Kristiania is deeply rooted in winter, but the house also lends itself beautifully to quieter stays beyond the core ski season.
What is summer at Kristiania like?
Summer is gentler in rhythm: mountain air, slower mornings, walks, views and a more private kind of Alpine escape.
Can you help tailor a stay before arrival?
Of course. Should you wish to shape your stay a little more personally, we are always pleased to help in advance.
Where can I discover more of the house?
